All By Mai Tai Self – A Variety of Cocktail Recipes For The Socially Separated Happy Hour, Volume 2

I Think We’re Getting The Hang (Over) Of This

The headlines (other than to obvious) this week, “Alcohol sales surge over 50%” as people forced to stay in”.  So with all that new booze buying you’re doing, you’ve come to the right place!  Here are some easy and certainly tasty tipples to conjure up at home.  Here are 5 of my favorite cocktail recipes Volume 2.

Don’t forget to check out last weeks blog, “All By Mai Tai Self” – Volume 1.  Here’s a link: https://wp.me/p9KEfL-33H

This week we had our first, monthly book club meeting via Zoom.  I was very pleased to see that everyone had their glass of wine (or other favorite adult beverage) in hand, otherwise, I’m just  drinking alone, at home, in my sweat pants. By this point, I know that I definitely need  a little change of scenery and even my dog and cat and not to mention my husband are slightly stupendously,  tired of me.   Well, time to cinch up those pajama bottoms, make some phone calls, get your Zoom on or a little old fashioned FaceTime.   It’s 5 O’Clock somewhere.  Time for another ”All By Mai Tai Self” Socially Distanced Happy Hour.

Here are this weeks Top 5 Cocktail Recipes Volume 2.

This tiki classic is sure to put you in the right spirit.  Here’s a link to a classic version.  Actual coconut cup is optional, although easier to find right now than a roll of toilet paper.   https://wp.me/p9KEfL-2Bn

While on the subject of tiki, why not this delicious, if not classic, tiki cocktail.  Okay, I must give a shout out to my favorite cocktail blogger, @drinkingwithchickens and by-the way, her first cocktail book is coming out and if you don’t want a copy, I can’t even pretend to understand why not.  I mean, drinking with chickens…………By the way, this is a delicious little cocktail!  Here’s a link to my recipe  https://wp.me/p9KEfL-2m0 (that I took from http://www.drinkingwithchickens.com )

Espresso Martini

This is the perfect “Quarantini”  Made with real espresso and topped with chocolate covered espresso beans.  If you’re not climbing the walls by now, this will do the trick.  This one can actually be enjoyed when you first wake up in the morning, especially if you can’t get to Starbucks.  Here’s a link: https://wp.me/p9KEfL-1cV

In this barely 3 ingredient cocktail, you’ll find Liquor 43.  If you don’t have it, get some!  Such divine flavor.  A combination of creamy vanilla and citrus, it brings a bit of bourbon and a couple dashes of bitters to new life.  This is one of my favorite cocktails.  Here’s the link: https://wp.me/p9KEfL-vG

Cheers!

This concludes  “The Socially Separated Happy Hour, Cocktail Recipes Volume 2″.  I mean, if you’re going to be buying all that booze, you might as well up your cocktail game, don’t you think?
